Role Overview

The Account Executive will support the finance function by managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial records, and statutory compliance. Reporting directly to the CFO, the role requires strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in audit support, reconciliations, taxation, and payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions

  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of schedules and audit queries

  • Handle tax computations, statutory deductions, and regulatory filings

  • Manage payroll administration and ensure accurate salary processing

  • Prepare periodic financial reports and management schedules as required

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies

  • Utilize accounting software and spreadsheets to track and analyze financial data

  • Assist the CFO with budgeting support, expense monitoring, and financial analysis

  • Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies when required

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

  • ICAN qualification or progress toward certification is an added advantage

Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

  • Hands-on experience with auditing processes and bank reconciliation

  • Proficiency in SAGE accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • Good knowledge of tax computation and payroll administration

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience
  • 3–5 years relevant accounting experience, preferably within investment, financial services, or structured corporate environments

  • Proven experience supporting CFO-level functions is an added advantage
