The client is a licensed stockbroking and investment services firm providing equity trading, portfolio advisory, wealth management, and capital‑market access to high‑net‑worth individuals, corporates, and institutional clients. With a strong reputation for execution excellence and client service, the firm is expanding its commercial leadership to deepen market penetration and grow its HNI portfolio.

Role Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing high‑net‑worth clients for the firms stockbroking and investment solutions. The role requires a professional with a quality cabal pipeline, strong relationships within elite circles, and proven experience selling stockbroking, wealth management, or investment products to affluent clients. The position drives revenue growth, strengthens client loyalty, and expands the firms market presence among premium client segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire high‑net‑worth individuals and ultra‑affluent clients for stockbroking and investment services.
  • Leverage an existing cabal pipeline, personal network, and premium relationships to drive new business.
  • Promote the firm's equity trading, portfolio management, and advisory solutions to HNIs, family offices, and senior executives.
  • Conduct investment needs assessments and recommend suitable stockbroking and wealth‑building solutions.
  • Manage end‑to‑end client onboarding, documentation, and KYC processes in collaboration with compliance and operations teams.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement, market updates, and performance reviews.
  • Work closely with the trading and research teams to deliver timely insights and support client investment decisions.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong network and cabal pipeline within high‑net‑worth and elite circles.
  • Proven ability to sell stockbroking, investment, or wealth‑management solutions to affluent clients.
  • Deep understanding of equity markets, investment products, and capital‑market dynamics.
  • Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation, and client‑management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, especially with senior‑level and high‑profile clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years experience in business development within stockbroking, wealth management, or investment banking.
  • Demonstrated track record of acquiring and managing HNI clients.
  • Professional certifications (CIS, CFA, MBA) are an advantage.
  • Strong personal network within business, political, social, or executive circles.

Performance Indicators

  • Number and quality of new HNI accounts acquired.
  • Growth in assets under management (AUM) and trading volumes.
  • Revenue contribution from new and existing HNI clients.
