About the Role

The Production Manager will oversee end-to-end production operations at our clients Lagos facility. The role is central to driving efficiency, quality, compliance, and team performance across personal care and home care product lines. The ideal candidate will ensure production targets are met, safety and quality standards are maintained, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage daily production operations to meet volume, quality, and cost targets
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, HSE, and quality standards
  • Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime
  • Lead, train, and supervise production teams, including shift planning and performance management
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor KPIs including yield, efficiency, capacity utilization, and production losses
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, reporting, and SOP compliance
  • Support new product introductions and process scale-up activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.)

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Production Management, or a related field
  • 7–10 years experience in FMCG manufacturing, with 3–5 years in a production leadership role
  • Experience in personal care, home care, or FMCG production environments
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HSE, quality systems, and production planning
  • Proven leadership and people management capability
  • Experience in a multinational or structured manufacturing environment is an advantage
