About the Job

You are responsible for end-to-end logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inbound receipt, disciplined stock control, cost-efficient fulfilment, and on-time delivery to stores and customers. The role translates demand and inventory plans into flawless product flow, protecting inventory integrity, optimizing working capital, and delivering a premium customer experience from supplier to shelf and last mile.

You report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

Inbound Logistics & Customs Clearance

• Manage end-to-end inbound logistics from distributor handover to warehouse receipt.
• Coordinate freight forwarders and clearing agents to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.
• Ensure full customs and regulatory compliance, including duties, permits, and applicable SON/NAFDAC requirements.
• Monitor shipments proactively and resolve in-transit exceptions to avoid delays and penalties.
• Optimize inbound logistics costs through shipment consolidation, rate negotiation, and route efficiency.

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control

• Oversee warehouse receiving, storage, and dispatch operations with strict accuracy standards.
• Ensure physical stock counts match system records through disciplined receiving and cycle counting.
• Enforce warehouse SOPs covering storage conditions, FIFO, product segregation, and security control
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances and shrinkage issues with clear root-cause analysis.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations.

Outbound Fulfilment & Last-Mile Delivery

• Manage order fulfilment for store replenishment, inter-store transfers, e-commerce, and bulk orders.
• Oversee last-mile delivery partners and enforce SLAs on delivery timelines, quality, and cost.
• Ensure premium delivery standards, including packaging, documentation, and proof of delivery.
• Manage reverse logistics for returns, exchanges, and warranty-related movements.

Cost Management & Operational Compliance

• Control logistics and warehousing costs, tracking cost per unit delivered and identifying efficiency gains.
• Partner with Finance to monitor logistics spend, working capital impact, and variance drivers.
• Ensure full HSE compliance across warehouse and logistics operations.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP/CLTD, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or PRINCE2 are an added advantage.
• 7–10+ years experience in logistics and warehousing operations, preferably within retail, consumer electronics, or high-value goods.
• Strong experience managing inbound logistics, customs clearance, warehouse operations, and last-mile delivery.
• Proven experience working with third-party logistics providers and operating in regulated environments.
• Strong operational and process discipline with high attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory controls.

• Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to analyze logistics and inventory data to drive decisions and improvements.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate effectively under pressure.
