Employment Type: Full-Time

Ideal Profile: Recent Graduate who just completed NYSC

Salary: ₦100,000 Monthly (Salary review upwards after 6 months & retention)

Role Summary
The Legal Intern will provide day-to-day legal and administrative support to the Legal Unit. The role is designed for a young legal professional seeking practical experience in corporate legal practice, contract documentation, regulatory compliance, and advisory support within a structured organization.


The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while supporting legal processes and documentation across the business.



Key Responsibilities


Legal Documentation & Support

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Support the preparation of legal correspondence and notices.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of legal records.
  • Assist in organizing and updating legal databases and records.

Compliance & Regulatory Support

  • Support the monitoring of regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Assist in ensuring company activities align with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct basic legal research on relevant statutory and regulatory matters.

Contract Administration

  • Assist in reviewing contracts and identifying key legal clauses.
  • Support tracking of contract execution, renewals, and expirations.
  • Maintain contract registers and documentation logs.

Legal Research & Advisory Support

  • Conduct legal research on assigned topics and provide summarized findings.
  • Support the legal team in preparing advisory notes and reports.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the Legal Unit.
  • Assist in coordinating meetings, documentation, and legal correspondence.
  • Support internal stakeholders with basic legal guidance under supervision.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B).
  • Completion of Law School (Call to Bar is an advantage but not mandatory).

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year post-graduation experience (internship, NYSC, or legal assistant experience acceptable).
  • Exposure to corporate law, compliance, or contract management is an advantage.
