About the Job

You are responsible for driving corporate business growth, improving portfolio retention, strengthening broker and client relationships, and supporting the execution of corporate business strategies. The role focuses on expanding the corporate portfolio, enhancing market presence, ensuring process efficiency and compliance, and contributing to the overall performance objectives of the Corporate Business Department.


Principal Duties / Responsibilities

Business Development & Portfolio Growth

  • Drive new corporate business acquisition through brokers and direct corporate sources.
  • Expand and diversify the corporate portfolio across private, public, and institutional segments.
  • Build and maintain a strong referral pipeline to support sustainable business growth.
    

Client & Broker Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular engagement with corporate clients and broker partners to strengthen relationships.
  • Achieve and sustain full retention of renewable corporate accounts.

  • Act as a trusted relationship manager to corporate clients, ensuring high service standards.
    

Market Intelligence & Strategy Support

  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis to track industry trends and opportunities.
  • Support the development and execution of corporate business strategies and initiatives.
  • Recommend corrective actions based on portfolio performance and market insights.
    

Proposal Development & Deal Execution

  • Develop, prepare, and present tailored proposals and quotations to corporate clients.
  • Support negotiations and closing of corporate insurance transactions.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure timely service delivery.
    

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor portfolio performance, including premium growth, profitability, and loss ratios.
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and activity reports.
  • Track individual and portfolio KPIs and provide actionable performance insights.
    

Compliance & Process Efficiency

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
  • Support process improvements aimed at improving efficiency, scalability, and service delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager or Department Lead.
    

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business development, relationship management, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience managing corporate clients and broker relationships.
  • Background in insurance sales or financial services is an added advantage.
