Job Summary

You will be responsible for providing safe and effective anesthesia care across surgical and procedural settings. The role involves pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management, and post-operative care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while adhering to global best practices and clinical governance standards. 

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Anaesthesia Management

• Conduct pre-operative patient assessments and risk evaluations.
• Administer anesthesia for surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures and manage complications effectively.
• Provide post-operative pain management and recovery care.

Critical Care Support

• Support ICU teams in airway management and sedation protocols.
• Participate in emergency response and resuscitation activities.

Compliance & Clinical Governance

• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and anesthesia records.

Collaboration & Teamwork

• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Educational Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Fellowship qualification (FMCA, FWACS, NPMCN or internationally recognized equivalent)
• Valid MDCN specialist registration (mandatory)
• ACLS Certification (mandatory)

Experience Criteria

• Minimum of 3 years post-fellowship experience
• Experience in ICU/critical care
• Anaesthesia protocols and perioperative care
• Critical care and pain management
• Clinical risk and patient safety standards
• Strong clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Crisis management and decision-making
• Ability to work under pressure in high-risk environments
