About the Role

The IMPEX Manager will be responsible for end-to-end import and export operations, ensuring seamless movement of raw materials, packaging materials, machinery, and finished goods. The role is critical in managing customs compliance, documentation, logistics coordination, cost optimization, and regulatory adherence within a multinational FMCG manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all import and export activities, including raw materials, packaging, spare parts, and finished goods

  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), NAFDAC, SON, and other regulatory bodies

  • Prepare, review, and manage import/export documentation (PAAR, Form M, Bill of Lading, invoices, packing lists, etc.)

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, clearing agents, shipping lines, and internal supply chain teams

  • Monitor shipment timelines and ensure timely clearance and delivery to production sites

  • Optimize import/export costs, duties, and logistics expenses

  • Track regulatory changes and ensure continuous compliance

  • Support production planning by ensuring uninterrupted availability of imported materials

  • Manage vendor and service provider relationships

  • Prepare periodic reports on IMPEX activities, costs, and compliance

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or related field

  • Minimum of 7–10 years experience in import/export operations within FMCG, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical environments

  • Strong working knowledge of customs procedures, trade compliance, and documentation

  • Experience handling imports for personal care, oral care, hair care, or FMCG manufacturing

  • Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and stakeholders simultaneously

  • Experience in a multinational or structured manufacturing organization is highly preferred
