Role Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and solutions-oriented Software Developer to design, develop, maintain, and improve software applications supporting business operations and customer services.
The successful candidate will work closely with technology and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions, troubleshoot application issues, integrate systems, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization's digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and business systems.
• Translate functional requirements and business needs into reliable technical solutions.
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Develop new features and enhance existing applications based on business requirements.

Application Support & Maintenance

• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot software issues.
• Investigate and resolve bugs, system errors, and technical incidents within agreed timelines.
• Conduct system updates, enhancements, and preventive maintenance.
• Provide technical support to users and business teams when required.

Systems Integration & Data

• Develop and maintain APIs and system integrations between internal and external platforms.
• Support data exchange between business applications and third-party systems.
• Work with databases to manage, retrieve, and maintain application data.
• Ensure appropriate data security and integrity within developed solutions.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing before deployment.
• Identify and resolve defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure development standards are maintained.
• Support user acceptance testing and production deployment activities.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work with IT, Business, Finance, Operations, Risk, and other stakeholders to understand technology requirements.
• Participate in software development projects and technology improvement initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and development records.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and development practices relevant to the business.

Requirements

EducationBachelor's Degree in:

• Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering Or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications in software development, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or related areas are an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Demonstrable experience developing and maintaining business applications.
• Strong experience with at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience working with relational databases, APIs, version control systems, and software development frameworks.
• Experience within financial services, insurance, banking, or other regulated environments is an advantage.
