Role Overview
We are seeking experienced tax advisors and preparers across North America to serve as Senior AI Trainers, contributing to the development of advanced AI systems designed to support real‑world tax preparation, advisory, and compliance workflows. In this senior role, you will design, evaluate, and refine complex tax scenarios spanning individual and business returns, federal and state compliance, tax‑planning strategies, entity‑structure considerations, audit readiness, and IRS/CRA procedural guidance.
You will review and elevate the work of other contributors, ensuring all outputs demonstrate precise technical accuracy, strong regulatory alignment, and practical applicability across diverse taxpayer profiles. Your expertise will guide AI models to produce reliable, defensible, and context‑aware tax reasoning that reflects current laws, filing requirements, and best practices in U.S. and Canadian tax environments.
As a senior trainer, you will also influence rubric development, mentor junior team members, and drive quality consistency across pods operating within North America’s complex and rapidly evolving tax landscape.
This role is ideal for seasoned tax professionals who want to combine their deep compliance knowledge with emerging AI technologies—and play a pivotal role in shaping intelligent tools that support tax preparers, advisors, and financial professionals across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high‑complexity tax‑preparation and advisory tasks with gold‑standard solutions that reflect accurate federal, state, and local compliance across diverse U.S. and Canadian taxpayer profiles.
- Review, calibrate, and elevate peer outputs to ensure technical precision, regulatory alignment, and consistent adherence to pod quality standards.
- Identify and escalate true edge cases, ambiguous tax‑law interpretations, and rubric gaps to the Functional SME Lead for clarification and refinement.
- Ensure all scenarios and solutions mirror real‑world tax workflows, including entity selection, deduction optimization, credit eligibility, audit readiness, and year‑round tax‑planning strategies.
- Mentor junior contributors, refine task‑creation frameworks, and drive continuous improvement to strengthen overall pod performance and AI capability in North American tax domains.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related disciplines.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of US tax experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or an in-house tax function.
Preferred Technical Competence
- Extensive experience across individual, partnership, corporate, and multistate taxation, with strong command of federal and state compliance requirements.
- Active CPA or Enrolled Agent credential required; JD or LLM in Taxation considered a strong advantage.
- Deep expertise in tax planning, compliance, technical research, and interpreting complex U.S. tax regulations and administrative guidance.
- Proven ability to review complex returns, assess tax positions, identify technical or compliance risks, and recommend defensible solutions.
- Exceptional written judgment, capable of articulating tax conclusions clearly, accurately, and in a practical, client‑ready manner.
